Canadian Universities offer Bachelor, Master and Ph.D Programs. Bachelor degree is completed in 4-5 years, Master in 1.5 – 2 years and Ph.D in 3-5 years.
Admissions in Canadian Universities are highly competitive. Due to limited seats and selective admission criteria, only best of the best students offered admission.
For admission in Canadian Universities, students need to show high academic record with English language skills. . For admission in Undergraduate program, 70% and above percentage is required for admission depending upon the program and university. For majority of programs, high 70’s %age is require. Certain programs are very competitive and thus require marks in 80s. Some programs even require 90% and above marks in high school.
For admission in Master degree programs, admissions are further competitive. Students with 70% marks or 3.2+ CGPA can submit their admission application. However, due to competitive nature of admissions in Canadian universities, admission is not guaranteed. Only best of the best students are granted admission in Canadian universities. Some programs at Master level are taught, other Research or dissertation based. Admission in Research programs is more competitive than in Taught programs
IELTS 6.5 and above with no module less than 6.0 is required for admission in Canadian universities. Some programs require higher English English language skills.
Admissions in Ph.D are quite competitive and also depends upon the advisor’s availability and availability of funds.
